Besides our ambition to implement sustainable food systems that focus on healthy products, we don’t want to forget the locally-known precious little things that give us a quick sugar rush. And if these little things are made with love, that rush is beyond compare.
As part of Turin’s Food Innovation Living Lab, their local partner Orti Generali offers Do-It-Yourself Chocolate workshops in the weeks before Christmas. It’s not only a nice opportunity for the community to get together for a food-related activity in the holiday season, it also pays homage to Turin’s ancient tradition of producing chocolate. After all, establishing a sustainable food system includes both innovative technologies and the connection to the area by reviving old traditions.
These carefully decorated treats will lighten up the faces of many residents in Turin this Christmas. Enjoy the rush!
